Welcome to North River Design Services

Hi NRDSI Team,

Excellent work. We have the data. Board is in fab, and our proto assembly shop has started their prep work.

thank you NRDSI for all the hard work (as always),

Dave

Hi Mike, Betsy and NRDSI team,

Just wanted to let you know that we have finished Palladium bringup today! We assembled three boards and they arrived in our lab a week ago. After some debugging and rework to solve schematic bugs everything is working nominally. No layout problems to report and no assembly issues from Unigen.

Thanks for all you hard work and attention to detail.

-Taylor

Hi Bob,

I wanted to tell you thanks for working late and pushing this board through layout and into fab. Getting this into fab by Friday morning saves us 3 to 4 days on schedule which is really a big deal for us.

Just wanted to let you know it was appreciated.

Thanks much,
Mike

Greg,

We really appreciate what your team put into our products over the last year.

NRDSI has been a great partner for us, and stepped up to help even in difficult times when we needed a lot of help with no warning. We wish you all very Happy Holidays, and a great New Year!

Sincerely,

Jeffrey H.

Hi Greg,

Thanks for taking this unusual project on, and the prompt design work.

Thanks,

Jonathan

Team,
I think this is pretty amazing. North River Rocks!
Files dropped to our FTP site about 1 AM are already in the hands of both our fabricator and assembler and are actively in production in less than 12 hours.
Actually they were being used in about 6 hrs by Merix and had they had an all night crew we might not of lost even an hour.
Germany actually got them in the mid afternoon of their day shift so they got a head start and lost no time taking advantage of it.

GREAT Teamwork!
Thanks everyone.
Bring on the next one.
JT

Greg, Dave, Matt, Joe, Betsy, (and anyone else on the NRDSI Team who helped with Slalom Rev02), You all had a key role (once again) in an exceptionally fast board spin.

Thank you again for your continual support.

Clay

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HARD WORK TO MEET THIS MILESTONE !!
REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

See you on Monday lunch.
Tim

Greg,
Thank-you for jumping in and helping us make this happen. This and running the Eagle Peak netlist on short notice really make NRDSI a partner and the first people we call when we need CAD services, especially in a rush.

Thanks Again,
Peter

I'll second the sentiment -- thanks very much for stepping up and helping us here when we really needed fast turnaround. It's greatly appreciated.

Jeff

Hi Nina,

Just a quick update….Damion called just now to let me know that they powered up the LPDDR3 board (single sided memory)….and looks like it is working with the first power up.

He was pretty happy and wanted to thank us for the support and Good team work.

Hi Joe,

I want to thank you for the excellent work on the Lower Olema board. I am very pleased with the layout you did and feel good that there should not be any problems due to routing. A few people have commented that the layout looks really nice and are jealous of the spacing you were able to achieve for the high speed signals. My manufacturing guy has also commented that you have done a very clean design which makes it easy for manufacturing reviews. Thanks for a great job.

I look forward to working with you again when we do any future boards as well.

thanks,
Warren

Greg,

You and your team has done it again and performed better than plan.
Thanks to all of you and your long hours we have bought back significant days on this critical early development Test Board project.
Your quoted target was 8/10. As of today we anticipate beating this by 7-8 days. FANTASTIC!
I know this to be the result of many late and long days and nights for both your team and ours.

Well done all. Keep up the good work. We truly Appreciate it and NEED it.

Appreciatively
JT

I'd like to reiterate JT's comments, pulling 8 days out of the schedule is fantastic.

Thanks again
Andy

Tom,

I have been told that this is one of the most complicated ETB’s we have done here. Congrats Dave and thanks.

Furthermore, I got a bit worried when Dave left for vacation, but NRDSI supplied another good resource that quickly picked up what Dave had done and made a seamless transition. Thanks Mike!

Tom, you run a good team there and I am sure you will get much more work from us!

Thanks,
JEff

Thanks Joe,

For your hard work on this! I am glad we put it behind us.
If we were in the same site, I would buy you a drink to celebrate!

This is the least painful of all the designs we have worked together on:
the AMD feedback for changes was really minimal and the board layout
was practically unchanged from the original version, except for the
channel swapping that we had to implement to fulfill a last minute
requirement. The thermal ring keep out re-definition had zero impact on the design!
Great job!

Thanks again,
Gianluca

Greg,

I am having a tough time just keeping up with reading your progress on the THREE boards. You guys are truly doing amazing things -- as usual. But the effort on Slalom this past week has to rank near the top of your all-time heroics list. Thank you to Dave, and anyone else on your team that is burning hard for us on these. And thank you especially to you, as I know that your hours have exceeded everyones, and your management / organizational skills are the backbone for these successes.

T H A N K Y O U .

Sincerely,
Clay

Hi Greg,

Thank you so much for burning the midnight oil on this one. Thanks to you busting your @#$ we got Opus released to fab 8 days ahead of schedule. This changes a disfunctional schedule to possible.

Thank you,

Jay

Mike-
Thanks for the files.

And thanks for your good work on Tetrad. For a small board it was quite complex and much of the detail work was great the first time out with little input from me, for example, the many power distribution filters and shapes. I appreciated you attention to the schematic design itself and the fixes you suggested.

Regards,
Mel

We have used NRDS for a variety of high complexity boards including boards with 1600 Mbit/s DDR3 and fine pitch laser vias. Each time they have come through with flying colors in all project aspects including quality, schedule and cost. However, what I appreciate most about NRDS is that they really take the time to listen, educate and problem solve. This has been tremendously valuable when making the types of difficult engineering trade-offs these types of high complexity boards require.

"Hi Nina and Tom,

I am very impressed with your work and how your team does Allegro and verifies everything with Valor. Probably one of the best systems that I have worked with.

So I am saying thank you for all the hard work.

Cheers,

Sam McAnulty"

If you are seeking a PCB Design firm North River Design Service should be on your list.

Extreme Networks began a relationship over 3 years ago with the craftsmen that now operate as North River Design Services. While this is a new company by name it is actually a very well established and experienced Design and Management Team. Through a history of buyouts and acquisitions they have now successfully built 3 teams (virtual companies) over the past 16 years. Now as North River they control their own destiny and we couldn’t be happier.

Among the key attributes that have attracted and retained Extreme Networks as a faithful customer is their mastery of their tools, their ability to grasp and realize complex design objectives, and their ability to build process and specialized tools to facilitate repeatable results design after design.

North Rivers’ “Design Methodologies” and “Disciplines” yield consistent high quality results that are remarkably free of defects. They truly understand how to partner for success and function as a part of “Our” team at every level of the Engineering Design process from Concept to Production to Sustaining Engineering.

Extreme has continually challenged them in constraint management as well as execution. Our challenges have always been meet with professionalism and eagerness to meet whatever our need. The program management and oversight remains an important key to the success we have experienced through multiple product development programs over several years. While many design services may utilize the same tools the craftsmen at North River clearly are better and more skilled “drivers”.

Quotes are prompt and well thought through. Rates are competitive. Service is excellent and the people are a pleasure to work with. They have earned our business many times over and they haven’t stopped earning it yet. If you are looking for a few great new members of your “Remote Design Team” North River get’s my recommendation.
